All the latest gear to make your campervan or motorhome trips even better...

KEELA SOLO JACKET

£154.95

This new jacket from Scottish outdoor gear firm, Keela, manages to be both lightweight (680g) and warm, as well as water resistant. Plus, it can be squished into the smallest of packages, so you won’t need to sacrifice half your wardrobe.

That’s all thanks to the Primaloft insulation – unlike traditional down found in insulated jackets, this material keeps working even when wet, as well as being more compressible and lighter. The hood is fixed, while there’s an inner pocket (apparently, it’s map compatible) and one on each side for your hands. Hem and hood have corded adjustment while sleeves are half-elasticated, but still adjustable.

If you wanted similar features but with slightly less insulation for more all-year use, take a look at Keela’s Talus coat, as they are very similar. The Solo is available in four colours – Marine, Rescue Red, Fire and Wolf Grey, with sizes from XS to 3XL. There is also a women’s version too, at a fiver less than the man’s one here.

REMOSKA PRIMA 4-LITRE

£151.99

How many times have you looked at a campervan, or even some European motorhomes, and thought ‘that would be my perfect vehicle, if only it had an oven’? Well, the answer may be a lot simpler than you thought, with no hacking about of the cabinets to squeeze one in and no compromise at mealtimes.

The Remoska Prima looks a bit like a saucepan with a glass window in its lid; actually, it’s an electric oven that can sit on your countertop as and when required. It can be used for baking, roasting, grilling and more, plus it comes in 2-litre or 4-litre sizes (we have the larger one, which is actually cheaper at time of writing, thanks to a £38 discount offer).

The Remoska’s rugged design looks like it won’t mind being stuffed into a locker or garage until you need it, but the proof of this particular pudding is in the cooking. We haven’t tried baking a cake (many Remoska users say they have), but instead the sort of quick and easy grub that you want on the go. Jacket potatoes and a frozen pizza were prepared every bit as well as at home and there’s no long (time and energy wasting) wait for the Remoska to heat up.

So, don’t worry if the ’van you own, or want to buy, doesn’t have an oven; just get a Remoska – it even now comes with a three-year guarantee.
