The Family History Federation’s annual virtual family history show is back this November. A packed programme includes more than 50 talks and 30 workshops from experts in the field, plus a virtual exhibition hall with stalls from family history organisations. This year’s talks include ‘The Legacy of the First World War in the 1921 Census’ by Paul Nixon, ‘Death Certificates and Causes of Death for Family History’ by David Church, ‘How to Write a Family History’ by Chris Lightfoot and ‘Introduction to Forensic Genetic Genealogy’ by Penny Walters. The workshops cover such topics as Liverpool’s Home Children, tracing merchant seamen, and mind-mapping in genealogy. £15.
