The Family History Show takes place in the Midlands for the first time this month, in addition to its traditional locations of York (22 June), London (5 October) and online (10 February). As usual, there’s a programme of varied talks – ‘Behind the Scenes of WDYTYA?’ by Nick Barratt, ‘Breaking Down Brick Walls’ by Mark Bayley, ‘Genealogy Hints and Tips’ by Keith Gregson and ‘Using DNA to Support Family History Research’ by Amelia Bennett. Plus, there’s the chance to book a one-to-one session with an expert on topics including military research, DNA, brick walls, house history and social history, and an exhibition hall with stalls from companies and societies. £8 in advance (two for £12), £12 on the day.
