HOLIDAY MEMORIES

I so enjoyed Fiona Gibson’s piece [August] about the perils of holidaying with friends. It made me reminisce about trips I’ve had with others. Most seem to revolve around snoring. Like my old school friend who snored like a trouper, my sister-in-law, who kept the campsite awake – and not forgetting my mother, who snores so loudly she wakes herself up.

We always read your money articles and saw Kalpana Fitzpatrick’s advice [Smart with money, July] on claiming marriage allowance. Somehow, the 2018 changes completely passed us by. We followed the link to the Government website, and were rewarded with a large cheque and an improved tax coding. Thanks so much.
