✱ If your decor is neutral throughout, continue the theme for the festive season to create a serene atmosphere.
✱ Stick to a soft colour palette that includes shades of white, cream, beige, grey and green.
✱ Incorporate natural greenery such as garlands, wreaths and sprigs of eucalyptus or pine. These elements provide a fresh and earthy touch. Rustic wooden, twine and jute tree decorations will also add a touch of country charm.
✱ If you don’t have a fireplace, then candles or even LED candles can add a warm, cosy glow to your space. Place them on your mantel, coffee table or window sills.

✱ Choose vibrant ornaments for your tree. Mix and match various shapes, sizes and colours to create a visually appealing, eclectic display. Include colourful tinsel and garlands to help you achieve your look.
✱ String colourful lights around your home, either on your tree or woven into a garland. LED lights can be set to different patterns and colour combinations.
✱ Tree skirts are usually neutral or white, but you can easily change one to the shade of your choice with a can of spray paint.

✱ If you are lucky enough to have a stunning fireplace, make it a festive focal point. Add extra foliage to a shop-bought garland and hang lightweight decorations from a couple of the branches. Finish off with mini fairy lights.
