Carol causing a ‘commotion’
Carol Vorderman has gone and bagged herself a new radio gig at LBC, just weeks after she quit BBC Radio Wales. Sharing the news, the 63-year-old said, ‘I’m delighted to be joining LBC and the phenomenal stable of powerful voices on the station.
‘More than ever, live radio is an incredibly important platform for news, so I’m looking forward to returning to a medium that I love. And what a year 2024 is going to be for news and politics!’
Speaking about her new show, Carol revealed, ‘I’ll be using my voice – as you might expect – to cause a commotion. I won’t be shy to say things that others won’t and I’ll hold the corrupt to account without fear or favour.’
In December, the star announced that after five years she was leaving BBC Radio Wales, saying, ‘The BBC recently introduced new social media guidelines… Since those non-negotiable changes to my contract were made, I’ve ultimately found that I’m not prepared to lose my voice on social media, change who I am, or lose the ability to express the strong beliefs I hold about the political turmoil this country finds itself in.
‘Consequently, I have now breached the new guidelines and BBC Wales management have decided I must leave.’

Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has revealed intimate details about her and husband Ozzy’s relationship. When quizzed, ‘How many times a day are you and Ozzy getting it? How many times is Ozzy walking up on you in the kitchen?’ the 71-year-old replied, ‘We all know we oversexed, it’s not a secret.
