EXCLUSIVE

In November, Linda Robson confirmed to Woman that she and her husband of 33 years, Mark Dunford, had sadly called time on their marriage, with the star saying, ‘Enough is enough.’

The news followed months of speculation that their relationship had been on the rocks, and it seems that now the dust has settled, the Loose Women star is finally ready to properly embrace the next chapter of her life as a single woman.

In a new interview with Woman, Linda, who is selling the Islington home she shared with Mark, tells us, ‘It’s quite nice to move on and have a fresh start.’ And for Linda, it’s all about family now, something that’s been the best distraction in the wake of her split from Mark – who she admits she’s ‘civil’ with. ‘I’ve been really busy, I’ve been looking after my grandchildren and selling the house so all of that has been going on,’ she said.

So what exactly is on the cards for Linda as she embarks on this new stage of her life?

Revealing her plans to sell the family home she and Mark raised their children in to downsize, Linda tells Woman, ‘I’m going to live in a two-bedroom house for my grandchildren. I want to be right near [my daughter] Lauren and between me and my sister.’ And perhaps suggesting that the split from Mark had been a long time coming, when we asked whether she’ll be sad to wave goodbye to the fond memories she had of the house, she replied, ‘Yes, but the last few years I haven’t been that happy.’

Linda also recently revealed that she and Mark, who married in 1990, ‘never had that much in common’, explaining, ‘I’m very sociable. Mark never enjoyed that side of things.’ And earlier this year, she commented that Mark ‘wouldn’t notice if I was on fire’.

Reflecting on the split, Linda said, ‘I’ve been sad about it, of course I have. But we had two lovely children together. But they’re all grown up, living their own lives now. So now it’s me and Dolly the dog.’

Tough times

Something else that’s taken Linda’s mind off her marriage breakdown has been her work, including writing her memoir, Truth Be Told: Tales from a Baggy Mouth. Speaking about how hard it was to relive some of her darkest times, Linda tells us
