Is susanna ready to quit?

Following Ben Shephard’s departure from GMB, it seems Susanna Reid could be ready to reunite with Piers Morgan

She’s been the face of Good Morning Britain for 10 years and has described it as ‘the best job in journalism’. But now that her close friend and colleague Ben Shephard has jumped ship to This Morning, hosting alongside Cat Deeley, is Susanna also ready to step away from the ITV show?

Susanna and Ben have been close friends for years and launched GMBtogether a decade ago. On his exit, Susanna said, ‘We’ve all got the blues this morning saying goodbye to the best in the business,’ adding, ‘Going to miss you. Thanks for 10 fantastic years from launch to send-off.’

And with her former sidekick Piers Morgan quitting his TalkTV show to ‘focus on YouTube’, is now the perfect time for the former dynamic duo to get back together?

But while Adil Ray has been confirmed as Ben’s replacement on Fridays ‘at least until May’, fans are picking up on the fact that Susanna doesn’t seem as happy as she once was on GMB. One commented, ‘Must be hard knowing your options are now either Ed or Richard. Susanna Reid will either walk or ask for a raise,’ while another said, ‘Richard Madeley on #GMB is so freaking rude. He constantly talks over Susanna Reid and you can see the frustration on her face.’ Another viewer questioned, ‘Is Madeley taking the main role #GMB from Susanna?’

The controversial star quit GMB after being challenged by weather presenter Alex Beresford over his comments about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Susanna said, following his exit, ‘He’s a really important person in my life. We had such an amazing time. He put his imprint on the programme and it was very powerful. He’s a friend of mine – that won’t change.’

She also recently told woman&home, ‘Piers and I are in touch all the time, he is a massive part of what Good Morning Britain has been. He was there for five years, we had such an amazing dynamic and were good friends, so that continues.’

And when Piers shared a picture of him and Susanna reunited on the red carpet last September, fans were quick to comment. One read: ‘Best T
