We’ve been so impressed with this new launch. It’s effective and adjustable with three heat and two speed settings. What we like most, though, is how it’s suitable for all hair types. It comes with four nozzle attachments, including a diffuser and comb, making it suitable to style straight, wavy, curly and coily hair.

Best... for curly hair

Bellissima Diffon Ceramic Diffuser, £60, Argos

If you have curly hair with no need for any smoothing attachments, it makes sense to buy a stand-alone diffuser. This is a brilliant one – lightweight and roomy enough to fit in a lot of hair. You can buy a more powerful model (the Diffon Supreme Dryer, £130), but we’d argue this works just as well.

The luxe hairdryer debate tends to be split between Ghd and Dyson and we’re leaning towards the former – it’s powerful, giving quick results with a high-shine finish. We also love the long 3m cable. While an investment, it’s still significantly cheaper than the Dyson.

This small but mighty foldable dryer will earn its spot in your hand luggage. At 1,200 watts, it’s less powerful than the full-sized options, but it still packs a punch. It has two speed and three heat settings – impressive considering the mini size – and price.
