Have a boogie in your kitchen

You don’t need to be up to Strictly standards to enjoy the benefits of moving to music, just turn up your fave tunes and follow the beat. ‘Dancing gets blood pumping around your body and increases your heart rate,’ says dance psychologist Dr Peter Lovatt. Bank some extra steps

Adding just 3,000 steps to your daily count can lower blood pressure, a study in older adults has shown. Plus, walking is one of the simplest ways to squeeze more movement into your day – so no excuses.
