Peter Andre on partying, his new career move and fatherhood after 50

He may have turned 50 last year, but Peter Andre is showing no sign of slowing down. As well as his presenting gig on GB News, Pete tells Woman he’s also exploring the acting route, with a feature film set for release this year. And all that on top of juggling being a ‘hands-on dad’ of four!
Here, Pete reveals the advice he gives his eldest children, Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, his thoughts on the arrival of baby number five – and the possibility of becoming a dad of six – and how wife Emily, 34, has changed his life.
What’s it been like working at GB News?
I’ve had people say to me, ‘Why are you working with right wing this and right wing that’ and I didn’t know what they were talking about. I’m not right wing, left wing or chicken wing. I’ve no idea what they’re all talking about. I go on there and we get the news from people. It’s brilliant. The show is growing.
You’ve just stepped back from the show ahead of welcoming a new baby…
Yes, I have to be near Emily. I don’t want to go anywhere because she gave birth so quickly last time.
When is she due?
Mid-April, I think.
Will the baby come early?
Knowing her, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
How do you feel about being a dad of five?
Technically, I’ve changed five sets of nappies [including ex-wife Katie Price’s son Harvey, who was two years old when the couple met] over my life. That’s a lot of nappy changes!
How nervous are you feeling now that the due date draws nearer?
Well, Emily has to do all the hard work. She loves breastfeeding, so even though I’m a hands-on dad there’s not really much that I can do. She’s such a nice person – I think that she’s brought [that] out in me, brought me back to how I was when I was 16/17.
What do you mean?
In the sense that I partied, I had all that crazy life, but she’s brought me back to a real young me again, which is just chilled. And that’s because she’s so kind.
It sounds like Emily has really changed your life?
She’s just brought me back to what I was like in the early days – and I love that.
Junior is embarking on a music career, what advice have you given him?
What people don’t know about Junior is he’s actually an actor. He went to an acting school and because he’s 18 it means he can dip in and out and focus
