Azelaic acid is an effective ingredient that is suitable for all skin types. It is proven to be beneficial for blemish-prone, rosacea-prone and redness-prone skin.

Azelaic acid is the latest beauty must-have for achieving that elusive glow. It’s produced by yeast found naturally on our skin, and while it’s called an ‘acid’, it works differently from AHAs or BHAs because it has a soothing, calming effect. The ingredient can help build the skin’s tolerance and prevent irritation, but it’s also brilliant at targeting pigmentation, melasma and redness, and can bring rosacea-prone skin under control.

Products containing the wonder ingredient include serums, masks, creams and boosters. Azelaic acid is a safe skincare ingredient that is compatible with all skin types and is especially well-tolerated by those with sensitive complexions. Look out for products that contain a minimum of 10% azelaic acid for the best results.

Neutralize redness

Acne, rosecea and redness are all caused by inflammation, which is our skin’s natural defence mechanism to protect our skin.

This solution soothes irritation, as well as reducing redness.
