When it comes to fuss-free midweek suppers, we all need a 10-minute wonder recipe up our sleeve – even better when elevated with Tesco Finest

Pasta has got to be the ultimate go-to midweek supper. And it needn’t be off the menu when you’ve got friends over for a relaxed supper in the garden. We’ve got the ideal wow-factor dish, taken up a notch with Tesco Finest ingredients, but without the fuss of a long recipe.

This reimagination of the classic Italian dish – carbonara – has been elevated with a few easy swaps. It’s a rich, creamy dish that works perfectly with a peppery rocket salad and citrus dressing.

The Tesco Finest range elevates this trattoria-style carbonara to ensure it delivers on flavour. Quality really does make all the difference when a recipe has few ingredients.

Traditional spaghetti has been replaced with bell-shaped Tesco Finest Gigli Pasta. It’s made in Campania, Italy, using only the finest 100% Italian durum wheat and pure spring water. It’s then pushed through bronze plates to create a traditional, coarse texture that will help the sauce in this dish cling beautifully to it.

Tesco Finest Smoked Pancetta Slices, which are expertly produced in the Italian Alps, are added to bring a subtle smoky flavour. And pulling it all together are Tesco Finest Free Range Bluebell Araucana Eggs. These beautiful eggs have pastel-blue shells with deep yellow yolks that bring extra colour and flavour to the silky sauce. Plus they’re laid by free-to-roam hens from trusted British farms that have been reared to RSPCA welfare standards.

Finish this speedy masterpiece with a grating of Tesco Finest Parmigiano Reggiano, and enjoy! It tastes so good, you may even want to double the recipe to reheat for lunch or supper the following day. (Cool down extras, cover, then store in the fridge overnight before reheating the next day.)
