JENNIFER GARNER ‘Addictive’ beetroot crisps

LISTEN UP, CRISP FANS!

We’re all guilty of reaching for a snack to fight off the afternoon slump, but Hollywood A-lister Jennifer proves that pick-me-up treats don’t have to be unhealthy. The 13 Going on 30 actor, 52, swaps regular crisps for homemade beetroot ones, using ingredients from her garden.

According to Jen they’re ‘naturally sweet and completely addictive’.

RECIPE ✣ ✱

• Beetroots

• Olive oil

• Salt Preheat the oven to 120C.

Wash the beetroots, peel them, then slice into thin slivers. Lightly coat with olive oil and place on a greased baking sheet before sprinkling with salt. Bake in the oven for one hour. Enjoy!

How Friends star Jennifer looks just as good now as she did in the 90s is the question on everyone’s lips. And while beauty products and treatments may be to thank for her youthful complexion, the actor’s svelte figure comes from hard work and eating clean. Luckily for us, Jen, 55, shared her go-to smoothie recipe. ‘This has just made my life – it’s perfect and amazing,’ she said. As well as being full of healthy ingredients, the collagen in Jen’s concoction can help boost your metabolism, promote fullness and increase muscle.

RECIPE

• Cup of chocolate almond milk

• 2 scoops of Vital Proteins Chocolate Collagen Peptides

• Handful of cherries

• Banana

• A few drops of Stevia

• Antioxidants, such as maca berry and cacao

• 1 cup of ice

• A handful of spinach

• Pinch of cinnamon

• Matcha powder

• 1 spoon almond butter

SOUPER TASTY!

Daytime TV queen Lorraine knows that in order to stick to healthy eating the meals you make still have to be hearty. That’s why she loves her mum’s chicken soup recipe. The 64-year-old explained, ‘This is not only comforting, filling and healthy – it also tastes fantastic, even though I can never get it as good as my mum does!’ Lorraine added, ‘It is a good idea to make a pot on Sunday night and it will last you through the week. It’s perfect for lunch; just don’t overdo the crusty bread and butter!’
