Here’s what the stars have been up to in the last seven days

PHILLIP SCHOFIELD Is star moving back in with ex?

He’s been living in a £2 million flat in west London since coming out as gay in 2020. But is Phillip Schofield moving back in with his wife, Stephanie Lowe?

Phil, 62, and Steph, 60, separated after he publicly came out, but never divorced and she even stood by him following his affair with a younger male This Morning colleague, which led to him walking away from his presenting gig. ‘Despite everything, Steph has been the solid support by Phillip’s side. He calls her “his rock”,’ a source said.

In April, the pair were pictured together holding matching brown cockapoo puppies, with an onlooker saying, ‘Stephanie has continued to support her estranged husband – now they appear to both have new puppies from the same litter.’

So are they becoming a family unit once again and living under the same roof with their new fur babies? It certainly seems that they’re getting close and putting the past behind them.

The duo sold their jointly owned London flat – the same one Phillip was said to have conducted much of his affair at – but are clearly spending more and more time together.

They were pictured with their daughters, Molly and Ruby, earlier this year and a source revealed that, despite everything, they’d even spent Christmas as a family, saying ‘While Phil and Steph are no longer together in the traditional sense, there’s still a lot of love between them. Phil spends a lot of time with his family, which includes Steph, so it’s natural that they’d spend the big day together.’

SIMON: ‘I WAS BANKRUPT’

These days he may be worth a cool £496 million, but before he became the music mogul he is today, Simon Cowell was bankrupt. In 1989, the parent company of Si’s record label, Fanfare, went bust. Opening up about the difficult time, Simon, 64, said, ‘I thought everything was just going to be wonderful, so I bought a house, I bought a Porsche, of course, I had a gold credit card.’ He continued, ‘So I’m living it up, and when it all came crashing down, I owed the bank nearly £500,000.’ The star added, ‘I was on paper bankrupt, so I moved back in with my mum and dad.’ Thankfully Simon’s luck turned around when he convinced a banker to take a chance on him, and the rest, as they say, is history.
