Refreshingly honest, 57-year-old Nadia admits, ‘After years of self-loathing, I’m now in a better place, even though my body probably looks the worst it’s ever looked, thanks to cellulite, the menopause, ageing and sagging. But, in a way, I think I love it more.’

One of the main ways Nadia combats ageing is by cutting back on booze. ‘I was such a party girl, but now I’m careful about the number of units I have a week and what I eat, and I meditate and stretch,’ she explains. She’s also raved about the benefits of weight training, ‘It’s one of the things you should do as you get older, especially after the menopause, because your muscles deteriorate.’ But Nadia dislikes her neck. While she’s admitted she’d love some cosmetic help with this, she’s come up with a nifty trick. Her make-up artist has used ‘special tape from China’ before red-carpet appearances to gently lift and secure her skin back behind her ears, helping her create a smoother, more youthful look. It sounds a lot less painful and cheaper than going under the knife!

Coleen Nolan

While many of her Loose Women co-stars have been open about turning to surgery in a bid to look younger, 57-year-old Coleen says she ‘battles every day’ with the pressure to get Botox in order to stay youthful. Instead though, Coleen gets her glow thanks to her vegan diet. The star made the decision to go plant-based in order to boost her health, but also ended up losing 2st. She revealed, ‘I feel much better than I’ve ever felt.’ With that glow, we’ll be sticking some more plant-based meals in our shopping cart, too.

Ruth Langsford

Telly queen Ruth’s first defence against signs of ageing is moisturiser. The 62-year-old mum of one explains, ‘I always moisturise my elbows and hands each night before bed.
