Christine Lampard shares her simple secrets to staying happy and healthy

Glam day jobs with Coleen Nolan and filling in for Lorraine

W e’re used to seeing her all glammed up on-screen for the likes of Loose Women and Lorraine, but when she’s at home with her two children, Patricia, four, and two-year-old Freddie, Christine Lampard likes to keep things simple and focus on family life.

‘I think they’ve zapped every bit of energy from me, but it’s worth it,’ Christine, who is married to football club manager Frank Lampard, says of motherhood. ‘Come 11pm, I feel broken. I’m not complaining though, I just put on a bit more concealer and mascara if I have to leave the house.’

LESS IS MORE

Christine has a figure to die for and there’s no denying she looks incredible at 44. But when it comes to exercise, the presenter isn’t a fan of hammering her body with intense workouts and instead opts for long walks with her brood, which includes her adorable pooch, Minnie. ‘I swear by walking to stay in shape,’ Christine says. ‘My sister lost seven stone in her late teens, purely by walking. I feel like it’s important to keep moving as we get older. I want to make sure I am as healthy as I can be. My hair has started to fall out and I lost a lot after having the children, so I’ve started taking vitamins for it.’

Having children is something Christine feels very blessed to have achieved in her life, as there was a time she wasn’t sure it would happen. ‘My attitude towards having kids was always “if it happens, it happens”,’ she admits. Christine is also stepmum to husband Frank’s older daughters, Isla, 16, and Luna, 17, and the presenter admits that because she entered the girls’ lives when they were two and four, she wasn’t in a rush to have her own babies.

‘I think because Isla and Lu
