REJUVENATE WOODEN FURNITURE

Before

Transform a grubby old garden bench into the perfect perch with Stacey’s nifty method of getting garden furniture shining. GO GREEK

Ahead of her wedding last summer, Stacey gave her pergola area a makeover by painting it white and bringing in swathes of bright pink flowers. ‘A little pergola wedding glow up,’ Stacey explained, adding that it was inspired by her Greek hen do where she ‘fell in love with the bougainvillea and all of the white walls and beautiful surroundings’. Teamed with a cosy-looking lounge set, cushions and candles, it made for a stylish outdoor space.

SEASONAL DISPLAYS

Stacey loves to embrace a floral door display each season. Past designs have incorporated items she already owned – so unpack those old wellies or dust off the wheelbarrow and fill them with flowers for a fresh-looking front door scene this summer.

SPRUCE UP YOUR POTS

If you want to save on patio pots, make like Stacey and try this genius idea. She bought a couple of cheap terracotta-coloured pots and sprayed them with concrete-look paint. She explained, ‘It’s got really good coverage so one can would probably do four or five of these.’ A topcoat of stone-effect paint added texture. ‘Now they look perfect for around the pool,’ she said. ‘I love them for a fiver.’
