Lorraine UNDER FIRE!

Daytime TV veteran Lorraine Kelly has sparked backlash from fans following an interview with Dame Helen Mirren. The Hollywood actor, 78, was discussing her role in Golda, but some viewers were more focused on Lorraine’s interview technique.

One wrote, ‘This interview with Dame Helen is very cringe! Lorraine is terrible at interviewing,’ as another said, ‘Think I heard more of Lorraine’s voice throughout that interview with Helen Mirren… cringe!’ A third added, ‘B****y hell@reallorraine let Helen Mirren speak – you keep butting in,’ while one fan speculated that Lorraine, 63, was making the A-lister look ‘uncomfortable’.

The backlash comes not long after Lorraine, who’ll be celebrating 40 years on breakfast TV next year, returned from her summer holiday. During her break Loose Women’s Christine Lampard presented the show and fans called for the 44-year-old to front the show full-time.

One viewer wrote, ‘Time to change the name to Christine, Lorraine’s had her day,’ as another added, ‘Time for Lorraine to step down for you. I don’t watch her at all, you are so much more natural. Time for a change ITV.’ A third agreed, writing, ‘Agree she’s very genuine and Lorraine past her sell-by date.’

We’re sure the naysayers won’t be enough to dampen Lorraine’s spirits as she gears up to celebrate her TV milestone!

Joan did the splits on Italian telly in 2001

No stranger to glitz and glamour, Dame Joan Collins would fit right in as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Yet despite admitting that she’s a ‘huge fan’ of the show, the Hollywood star, 90, has dashed fans’ hopes of her ever competing. When quizzed if she’d sign up for the BBC favourite Joan replied, ‘Are you kidding? No way!’ before adding, ‘I’ve been asked to do it several times.’

However, her reluctance to strut her stuff on the ballroom isn’t due to fears that she wouldn’t be any good, with Joan previously revealing, ‘I do the splits very easily.’

Richard ‘IT SEEMED QUITE BRUTAL’

Richard Madeley has waded into the This Morning saga following Phillip Schofield’s exit. Richard, 67, revealed that he’d been in touch with the disgraced star, who stepped down from the ITV show in May. Richard
