‘I’m married to Mrs Christmas’
Ruth Langsford, 63, and husband Eamonn Holmes, also 63, live in Surrey and share a son, Jack, 21, and dog Maggie.
TRADITIONAL TRIMMINGS
A huge fan of the festive season, Ruth doesn’t scrimp when decorating the couple’s Surrey mansion – and that includes having not one but three trees. But the star of the show is her stunning tablescape. She revealed, ‘It’s a tradition for me to do my table on Christmas Eve because I don’t like rushing it. I like doing it all beautifully.’ She added, ‘Then nobody is allowed to sit down and have breakfast on Christmas morning, it’s literally, “The toaster’s over there.” As for their decorations, Ruth said, ‘I’m quite traditional. I like the whole red, gold and green theme.’ And Eamonn is happy to let Ruth take the reins when it comes to the celebrations. ‘I’m married to Mrs Christmas,’ he said. ‘Ruth’s the person that makes Christmas happen, the nest-maker who fits everything in alongside her professional life. ALL SPRUCED UP
Whether it’s garish Christmas jumpers, antlers or full-blown Santa costumes, Ruth and Eamonn’s festivities extend to their clothes, with even Maggie the dog getting involved!
‘We have lots of good food and booze’
Lorraine Kelly, 63, lives in Buckinghamshire with her husband Steve and dog Angus.
BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
When it comes to Christmas Day brekkie, Glasgow-born Lorraine doesn’t need fancy smoked salmon, eggs florentine or avocado on toast. Instead, she opts for a festive favourite that requires no ti
