Louise Westra, 49, lives with her husband Rob, 52, and their two sons, aged 14 and eight, in Perthshire.

In terms of what I find attractive in a man, as far as I’m concerned you can’t go wrong with a toned bum and strong, rippling arm muscles.

Maybe it’s an old Mills & Boon-style fantasy of mine to get lifted up by a muscly man and literally swept off my feet, but I think it goes deeper than that. I think the commitment and dedication it takes to get toned and muscly is really sexy in itself, and I’ve seen how hard my own husband, Rob, works to look buff.

He’s a personal trainer, so I guess it’s not just a hobby for him, but I love how he’ll go to the gym and do a workout, whether he feels like it or not.

He’s a great role model to our two boys because he’s showing them that it’s important to look after yourself, to take pride in your appearance – and, most importantly, your health.

It’s not about striving for perfection – few of us will ever achieve that. But consistency and discipline are needed to be muscly, and they’re great qualities to cultivate in life generally.

When I see Rob’s muscly arms pulsing, I can feel myself swooning. Each to their own when it comes to what takes your fancy – but for me, a man with muscles definitely gets my heart racing.
