Since their split back in 2022, Paddy and Christine McGuinness have remained amicable, with the former couple continuing to live together and co-parent their three children. But not any more. Just weeks after Woman’s Own reported that Christine, 35, was ‘distraught’ about Paddy’s plans to use their divorce in a mockumentary, a friend of Christine’s has now warned her ex that ‘the gloves are off’.

Christine is said to have hired top lawyer Catherine Bedford – who worked with Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong in their divorce settlement and has been nicknamed a ‘pitbull’ – to represent her. A source revealed, ‘Christine really wanted to work with a woman during her divorce, and Catherine is one of the best in the business. Christine wants to stay in the house she’s lived in as a family for many years. She’s poured many hours of love, care and attention into it.’

Ahead of the divorce proceedings, a friend of the model claimed, ‘The gloves are off. She was good to Paddy, she stayed at home and brought up his children while he was out earning money. It’s going to be an expensive divorce for Paddy.

‘Christine has had enough.’

The unfolding drama comes after Christine admitted that she wants to carve out a career for herself. She admitted, ‘My main focus for 2024 is going to be on my children, they are always my main focus. Then work – work for myself and try to carve out a career so that I can always look after my children, give them the future that they want and support them and their needs for as long as possible.’
