She’s often hailed as the voice of reason on Loose Women, largely due to her cool and composed demeanour. As one of the show’s original panellists and a former royal correspondent, it’s easy to see why Jane Moore is such a hit with viewers at home.

But while she’s always chatty and happy on-screen, behind closed doors, Jane, who is mum to Ellie and Grace and stepmum to Lauren, has endured some personal sadness in recent years. In 2022, she announced that she and her husband of 20 years, PR guru Gary Farrow, had separated.

Here, the 61-year-old fills us in on what’s next for her…

Hi Jane, great to see you! You were there at the start of Loose Women in 1999 before stepping down and rejoining in 2013. Would you ever leave the show?

No, no, I’ll definitely stay there. I’ve had a couple of months off because I’ve got so much other work on and I’ve just been on tour with Sharon Osbourne. I’ve had a holiday and I’ll be back to Loose Women on 1 March.

Who do you get on best with amongst the other panellists?

To be honest, all of them. I had lunch with Nadia [Sawalha] today, and Kaye [Adams] came to stay with me last week. Plus I was just speaking to Janet [Street-Porter] on my way here, and Coleen [Nolan]. The ones I’m particularly closest to are the ones who have been there the longest, but I like and get on with everyone.

How is Kaye? Did she have a bit of a health scare recently?

She thought she had lost her hearing right before she went on-air, and later went to hospital to have it checked out. Luckily, it turned out to be some ear wax!

Is Coleen missing her daughter Ciara, who has just gone travelling the world on a one-way ticket?

Well, Col’s on tour at the moment. She’s been really nervous, as you would be, but everybody’s doing their own thing. And occasionally we come together on Loose Women and we all catch up and it’s great.

How was it touring with Sharon Osbourne?

It went really well, thanks. Birmingham was a good turnout, and a great crowd because of course they all love Ozzy in Birmingham.

Because it’s his home town?

Yes, and they’ve got a gigantic metal bull in the [New Street] station now. All
