It’s the season for a sort-out! Declutter your beauty regime to save time and money

Expiry dates

If you’re someone who likes to stockpile your favourite buys then make sure they aren’t going to go off before you even get a chance to use them. Once opened, oxygen can mix with the formula of a product and affect its use. Check the back of the packaging for the expiration time frame – look for a small box that has a number followed by an ‘M’, meaning month. This will show you how many months you have to use something up after you first open it.

Donate unused products

We’ve all got products gathering dust on our bathroom shelves that we either don’t like or don’t need, so it’s important to have a good sort-out every few months. Take any unwanted, unused beauty products to Boots or Superdrug, where you’ll find donation bins. These products get sent to a beauty or hygiene bank where they are given to those in need.
