Sweat

These days, I train with function and support in mind, and put what I look like to one side. So an average session will be a warm-up, a few strength supersets, a big cardio blast – and then I’ll finish with functional stretches. I’m 38 this year, so keeping on top of stretching is important; I do yoga once a week. I want to make sure I’m tip-top, not crawling around on the floor saying, ‘Oww, my back!’

Boost

If I have a good training session early in the morning, I’m on much better form throughout the day – with work, with friends and, most importantly, with my daughter Mia and my partner Gorka [Marquez]. If you’re feeling the best version of yourself, you’re better with everything else throughout the day. I want Mia to always have a happy, healthy mum; to do that I have to take a little bit of time out of the day for myself.

Align

Many women work against their body, not with it. If they’re bloated they avoid water, but it can actually help. Or they cut carbs before their period; that’s when the body can tolerate more carbs due to hormone levels. For me, it’s about working with the body, not trying to starve or shrink it.

Unwind

I love Netflix true crime documentaries; I was obsessed with Night Stalker. Gorka can’t watch as he can’t switch off from them, but I’m fascinated. I read a lot, too. I read around 30 books during lockdown.

Nourish

I’m flexitarian, and I eat lots of grains and pulses. After my morning workout, I love a big bowl of porridge with whey protein, berries, flaxseed and chia seeds. Mid-morning, I’ll have an egg and avocado wrap. For lunch, I might have sweet chilli tempeh with vegetables and pasta. When I get home for dinner, it’
