A typical day

I’m an early riser. I get up at 5.30am to go to the gym; I never attempt cardio past 10am – my body screams ‘no’. I eat breakfast at work – porridge with cinnamon, raisins and honey. Every day is different, but I love working with like-minded people. I make sure we’re staying ahead of the game by working out what’s a fad versus a trend that’s here to stay. At lunchtime, I try out different recipes on my Swivlit (a portable slow cooker) – coconut noodle soup is my favourite. I eat lighter in the evenings, as I’m usually busy with my daughter. I’m not a great sleeper, so I’ve removed all electronics from my bedroom; if I wake, I read. Weekends start at dawn, swimming with a group of friends at Southbourne Beach in Bournemouth. It’s tough in winter – Idon’t wear a wetsuit – but I feel amazing afterwards.

Skincare philosophy

You exercise to take care of your heart and lungs; you eat well to take care of your stomach, liver and kidneys; you sleep to replenish your brain. Skin is the biggest organ, so you should invest in it, too, by using SPF50 every day, cleansing, toning, moisturising and staying hydrated.

Skincare non-negotiable

Going to bed with clean skin. Sleeping with your make-up on not only clogs the pores, but also traps dead cells, leaving your skin looking dull. Cleansing properly optimises the overnight repair process.

Main skincare concern

I use Nuface’s mini toner three times a week to help keep my marionette lines [vertical lines running from the mouth to the chin] at bay. I bought a new pillow recently, as after years of sleeping on my right side, the line is more prominent there.

01 ULTRASUN FACE SPF50+ ANTI-PIGMENTATION, £32 I now wear a sun cream all year round. This one targets the pigmentation I’ve got from sunbathing back in the day, thanks to its skin-lightening ingredients, Illumiscin and Asyntra SL.

02 SKINCEUTICALS C EFERULIC SERUM, £165 This serum brightens your skin from the first application thanks to a high dose – 15%, in fact – of vitamin C, which is known for helping your skin glow. It’s really dialled up my radiance and helped to even out my skintone, too. It’s fast-absorbing and I tend to use it in the morning before I apply my moisturiser.

03 OSKIA NUTRI-ACTIVE DAY CREAM, £70 I love this cream. Not only is it hydrating, but it also does a stellar job of protecting my skin barrier throughout the day, without ever feeling heavy or greasy
