Classic granola
Serves 10 Prep time 10 minutes Cook time 25 minutes

200g porridge oats 125g mixed nuts, roughly chopped (we used Sainsbury’s Mixed Nuts)
25g mixed seeds (we used Tesco Wholefoods 4 Seed Mix)
½ tsp sea salt flakes
30g maple syrup
1½ tbsp olive oil
1 Preheat the oven to 170°C, fan 150°C, gas mark 3. Place the oats, nuts, seeds and salt in a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the maple syrup and olive oil and, using your hands, combine the mixture until everything is thoroughly coated.
2 Spread out the mixture evenly on a large baking tray or two smaller ones. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through the cooking time, or until deeply golden and toasted.
3 Leave to cool on the tray, then transfer to an airtight container.
Chocolate & orange granola

Juice and zest of 1 orange
50g dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 Preheat the oven to 170°C, fan 150°C, gas mark 3. Place the oats, nuts, seeds and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the maple syrup and fresh juice and, using your hands, combine the mixture until everything is well coated.
2 Spread out the mixture in one even layer onto a large baking tray or two smaller ones. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through the cooking time, or until deeply golden and toasted.
3 Leave to cool completely on the tray, then stir through the orange zest and dark chocolate. Transfer to an airtight container.
