XStitch Magazine
1 September 2019
Our Orient issue delivers 17 contemporary cross stitch patterns with a truly eclectic perspective. From Far Eastern inspiration to designs for centring your life, there’s something for everyone! We welcome two new designers into the XStitch family: from Australia we welcome Christabel Seneque whose Astrolabe design is a historical tool for orientation! And in a world first for a cross stitch magazine we introduce pixel artist Todo Asano, whose perspective on pixellation is fresh and not connected with the world of cross stitch. There’s a natural overlap between pixel art and cross stitch and it is our pleasure to bring those two worlds together. We introduce a new column – Designer Discourse – in which we pick the brains of a cross stitch designer (in this instance it’s the ultra talented Tom Katsumi), Floss & Mischief delivers a book review of Makoto’s Super Cross Stitch Collection by Makoto Oozu, and there’s some fresh advice from our Agony Aunt, Mary from FY Needlework! With 17 designs for you to stitch, from 17 different designers, with a truly diverse selection of styles, as well as another great selection of articles – it’s another issue of the world’s best cross stitch magazine!
