To mark the restoration of Malton’s Grade II* listed Wesley Centre, the Yorkshire market tow n’s schoolchildren have buried a time capsule. The transformed Methodist church will open in spring as a stateof-the-art community hub, featuring a 600-seat auditorium – the largest such space in Ryedale. Children of Malton, Norton and Ryedale created letters, drawings, and objects that encapsulate their thoughts, dreams, and hopes for the future. The objects will be preserved for 100 years, to be opened by Malton’s future children.
