Charity cheer

Yorkshire Children’s Charity has a summer of fun planned with events to appeal to all.

The Yorkshire Ride ’Owt fundraising event is back for 2024, held at the luxury five-star Grantley Hall in Ripon on May 16. This year’s event includes a ride out on some of the world’s most desirable motorcycles, gourmet barbecue cuisine and special guest John McGuiness MBE.

Ride ’Owt invites guests taking their own motorcycle to join a scenic ride through the Yorkshire Dales, with a pit-stop for lunch in Sandsend. Back at Grantley Hall, John McGuiness MBE will share tales of his career as the current Isle of Man TT lap record holder and the second most successful TT rider of all time. Tickets are £75pp.

Also this summer, YCC hosts The Yorkshire Polo 2024 on June 20 with a few chukkas at the beautiful Allerton Park, Knaresborough.

Arelaxed lunch in the marquee will be followed by hoof-pounding, heart-racing action with two polo matches for your entertainment.

The following day, June 21, Allerton Park is the venue for the Yorkshire Clay shoot 2024. Open to all skill levels, the shoot is a fantastic day of shooting, food, fundraising, and networking with friends and colleagues.

Charlotte Farrington, CEO at Yorkshire Children’s Charity, urges people and businesses to support the events: ‘Events such as these are vital to help us raise funds for underprivileged children across Yorkshire and are the perfect way for guests to have a day full of amazing food and good company, while raising significant money for a great cause.’

Tickets are priced at £75pp. For more information or to book, visit
