James Your Dog Magazine James.buzzel@warnersgroup.co.uk

I first want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sarah, our outgoing Editor, for her remarkable near-30 years of dedicated service. Her passion and commitment to all things canine led to Your Dog being the best-selling UK dog magazine spanning decades, and it still holds that position today. We wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

You may have seen me in the magazine before (or at Crufts), as I’ve worked with the Your Dog team for over 20 years now, including the role of publisher for the past six years. Quick bio: I have two dogs: Mutley, a 13-year-old Cocker Spaniel rescue with some quirky traits, and Peggy, a four-year-old Standard Schnauzer (guess the breed profile this month!). I’ve had dogs for most of my life – older readers may remember Archie, a Giant Schnauzer who often appeared in these pages. I also started my career at Dog World newspaper after finishing university… so dogs are a big part of my work and personal life (I wouldn’t have it any other way!). I will do my utmost to continue to deliver a magazine that dog lovers, love.

WHAT’S NEW?

We’re thrilled to introduce some fresh new features in this edition. For those with dog-doting children, we’ve launched a new pull-out section for junior readers. It’s a place where young readers can explore fun activities, responsible pet ownership, games, training tips and lots more. And while our magazine has always celebrated the remarkable bond between humans and service dogs, we have introduced dedicated Service Dogs pages, where you’ll find news and tales of these four-legged heroes and their incredible impact on people’s lives.
