Featuring whimsical images of forest foliage and blooming flowers, the current trend for folklore-inspired design has us transported to an enchanting woodland glade (and we’re certainly not complaining about it!).

Inspired by storytelling, traditional folk designs draw inspiration from all kinds of themes: from nature and animals, to ancient fables and mythology. It’s a trend that is relaxed and welcoming – where mixing and matching patterns, colours and textures is greatly encouraged.

This season the classic homespun style is reinvented, swapping traditional moody hues and classic motifs for fresh pastel shades and contemporary floral designs. Think pops of sage green and peach, paired with embroidered textiles, faux foliage and playful patterns steeped in fairytale magic…
