Perfect power pack

This is me with my handsome boy, Tigger, who is a 14.3hh, 14-year-old Welsh section D. I’ve had him for two years and we do a bit of everything together. He’s been so good at teaching me and he’s also given me so much confidence.

Show stoppers

This is my lovely mare, Lilly, a 13-year-old, 15.2hh gypsy cob. This picture was taken after we had done a prelim dressage test at a show.

To the rescue

Here’s my rescued Andalusian, Apollo. Five years ago he travelled for six days across Spain, England and Scotland before settling with me.

This is me and my pony, Roma, an 18-year-old, 14.2hh gypsy cob. He’s very long-suffering as I’m always dressing him up and colouring him in. This photo was taken during lockdown when I rainbowed him in support of the NHS — and to make people smile.

The vets, including supervet Rosie Owen, worked on her for 90 minutes and, by a miracle, Luna returned to the land of the living. The vets nicknamed her Phoenix as it had never happened to them before and they had never heard of a pony surviving such an episode. The nursing staff were in tears when she came round, and since then we have done our best to raise awareness of complications that can arise during surgery. Luna is also my best friend. I run a village café called Sanwitches and Luna comes for visits.

Mother tongue

This is me and my new horse, Bella. It takes a while for the bond to build with a new partner, but inevitably the goofy side comes out.
