THE EXCITING CHALLENGE loved by every equestrian who relishes being able to explore the countryside is back — yes, #Hack1000Miles 2024/25 is now live and ready for riders to sign up. To take part, visit yourhorse.co.uk where you will find the Digital Leaderboard on which miles can be logged and progress charted. Everyone is welcome — from those with aspirations to complete the great 1,000 milestone, or those with time constraints and far too much to juggle and who have rather more modest ambitions. This year, though, it is the Your Horse’s editorial team’s intention to unite even more riders from around the world and give them the confidence and drive to get out and enjoy big skies, woodland tracks, quiet country roads and wide, open fields that lend themselves to exhilarating canters.
#Hack1000Miles is open to riders who head out solo, as well as those who prefer group outings, those who enjoy fun rides, or others who like nothing more than a short potter around the block. All miles covered count, plus you don’t have to ride. You can drive or lead your horse in-hand. There is only one rule — that only hacking miles count (so you must take your horse)!
