Respectfully speak for yourself

I feel more confident and happier than I’ve been in my life, because I’m not self-conscious any more. I know what I want in a relationship, and I know how to ask for it. It’s not that I’ve become a rude, brash person, but I’ve learnt how to respectfully speak for myself. I think my generation grew up at a time where it was about pleasing men. I’ve learnt that men have a better time when you’re genuinely happy.

The menopause isn’t the end

The menopause is not a destination, it’s an interlude. Like everyone else, I thought I was dying and my life was over, but you’re actually giving birth to yourself as a grown woman. Post-menopause, you get to do whatever the hell you want. I’m launching a new business called Sin’s Angels – as in Sinitta’s Angels – at the end of November. It’s for sexy 50-plus women after the menopause.

Finding love is freeing

I was happily single for eight years, but during lockdown I started to genuinely want human connection again. I also knew what I didn’t want, which is a suffocating, stifling and controlling relationship. Then I fell in love with my best friend! We’ve been dating since April.
