This hidden gem is the lesser known of the Caribbean islands, although it’s just as beautiful as the more popular spots. It’s made up of 32 small islands and cays with Saint Vincent being the largest. It offers striking volcanic backdrops, fantastic year-round weather and both white and unique black sandy beaches. You won’t go hungry during your stay; popular local dishes include breadfruit and jackfish and plenty of fresh seafood.

l Stay at the brand-new Sandals Saint Vincent and The Grenadines. A Bamboo Palm Room with Balcony and Tranquillity Soaking Tub costs from £2,424 per person for seven nights. Price includes all-inclusive accommodation, return flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow. Price is date specific and is valid for travel on 18 September 2024 only. Book at Sandals.co.uk.

Affordable luxur y in Albania

Albania is fast becoming a very popular destination. This Balkan hot spot is similar to Cyprus although you tend to get much more for your money. Albania really does have it all – amazing beaches, bright turquoise water, mountains, ancient towns, and it’s a great budget option! The locals are very friendly, and the Albanian Riviera is a safe choice for family breaks. We recommend staying in the Ksamil area, which has the most picturesque beaches and lots of great bars and family-owned restaurants serving delicious Albanian food – lots of seafood, rice, lamb and pastries. Food is reasonably priced, and you can get a decent carafe of wine for under five euros!

• Stay at the Sol Tropikal Durres for five nights from 2 June 2024 from £404pp, departing from London Stansted with Ryanair with breakfast included. To book, visit Loveholidays.com.
