HELPING HANDS

● Give hands an intensive conditioning treatment once a week. Mix 250ml natural yogurt with 1tbsp honey. Spread thickly all over your hands and then wrap them tightly in cling film or place in two freezer bags. Leave for 15 minutes, remove and rinse off.

● If your hands are dry and flaky, use an exfoliator once a week to remove dead skin cells. Add a handful of oats to 1/4 cup of warm water and leave. Once absorbed mix in 1tsp of olive oil. Rub into your hands and leave for 10 mins. Rinse and apply hand cream.

● For a homemade glow, try using pineapple juice once a week. It contains skin-nourishing enzymes. Wet a cotton pad with freshly squeezed juice and apply to the backs of hands. Leave on the skin for 5 minutes, then rinse off and apply hand cream (and don’t forget SPF during the day!).

● To soften age spots, try using this mask once a week. Mix 1tbsp of baking soda, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 a lemon, and a little oil in a small bowl. Stir until it’s formed a paste and then apply. Let it dry and leave on for 15 mins. Rinse off with warm water and apply hand cream to seal in moisture.

TREAT YOUR TOOTSIES

● Dry heels? Try this intensive exfoliating scrub – mash an avocado and mix with rock salt or granulated sugar. Rub over damp feet, then shower off. Repeat daily until feet are smooth.

● Epsom salt soothes aches and pains, as they are an anti-inflammatory. Add half-a-cup to a bowl of warm water and soak your feet for 20 mins. The salt will soften dry skin, which can then be removed with a pumice stone or foot file.

● Speed up polish drying time by spritzing a cooking oil spray instead.

● Smelly feet? Brew two teabags in 2pt of water, then soak your feet for 10 mins.
