Miles for far less
I’ve saved loads of money getting around London by just attaching my railcard to my Oyster card! All I had to do was go and ask the staff to do it at my tube station.
Warm and toasty
Keep hold of the lint from the tumble dryer for your next camping trip. Wrapped in a toilet roll tube, lint is the perfect campfire starter.
Seeing double
To keep warm on camping trips, lay on top of one duvet, then cover up with another blanket on top. This keeps you twice as warm.
Battery saver
To save your phone dying in hot weather, put your phone on aeroplane mode and store it inside your cool bag. It’ll stop your phone from overheating.
How egg-cellent!
Add crushed eggshells to soil – they’re rich in calcium and help your plants grow. They help deter pests, too.
Shoe shine
Rubbing my leather shoes over with a fresh lemon always works a treat for getting rid of any nasty bits of dirt and stains.
Feeling zesty
When I’m preparing cut-up fruit, I coat it in lemon juice. The acid stops my fruit going brown – handy in the hot weather.
What a stinger!
To treat painful nettle stings, I make a paste from baking soda and water and apply to the area. It’s so easy to make.
