He’s still on dating apps
Q I’ve been with my boyfriend for six months.
Things were going great until I saw a dating app notification on his phone.
I confronted him and he confessed to chatting with other women out of boredom.
My friends have told me to end things, but I’m confused.
What should I do?
A The six-month mark in a relationship is a big deal, flower.
It’s usually when a couple starts to consider the next steps.
But this seems like a huge red flag to me. If he’s bored and looking at dating sites now, what’s he going to be doing in another six months, hun?
If you don’t think you can trust him, you know what you have to do.
Alone on my birthday
Q I’m moving abroad soon.
I’m not overly nervous about the move, but I’m concerned about spending my birthday alone for the first time.
It sounds childish, but I’ll be turning 30 and I wish I could be with friends and family.
Do you have any advice?
A It’s so easy to connect with those closest to us from miles away these days, pet.
There’s FaceTime, Zooms, Facebook and Instagram, to name just a few.
Organise a video call with your family where you can all catch up – perhaps even cook and eat dinner at the same time.
Then crack on making friends in your new home. Put yourself out there. I bet for your 31st birthday you’ll be throwing a huge party.
