Set the scene with these festive 3d greetings

Everyone loves to receive a card at Christmas – but imagine their delight when they take it out of the envelope, and it unfolds into a perfect little scene! Keren Baker’s sweet diorama greetings look intricate but are quite easy to make, with some careful cutting, scoring, and folding. A suitably festive collection of patterned papers and die-cut shapes are all you need to make cards that will be talked about for months to come!

Santa and Snowman

1 Cut two pieces of 15cm x 18.5cm cardstock. Score at 15cm and 17.5cm. Die-cut a square centrally in the square part of one piece. Mountain-fold both score lines on each of the pieces.

2 Trim green cardstock strips measuring 3cm x 16cm, 5cm x 16cm, and 7cm x 16cm. Score each one 5mm in from the long end with mountain folds. Cut wavy lines like hills on each of the pieces and trim out some white wavy lines matching the same shape to act as snow. Adhere together.

3 Add patterned paper to the middle of the back piece. Adhere the large cardstock panels together to make a box shape. Die-cut a frame of patterned paper to attach onto the front.

4 Line up and glue the smallest green piece towards the front, fixing each tab to the sides of the box. Add the next largest strip towards the middle of the box side and the largest strip towards the back. Glue the snowman and Santa die-cuts to the front piece, the house to the second and the trees on the third. Add some translucent glitter to the snow on the hills.

Peace and Joy

1 Cut two 14.5cm x 17.5cm pieces of white cardstock. Score in at 1cm, 2cm from each end on both. Score the outer one as a valley fold and the next one as a mountain fold. Push the folds so they go behind the centre part.

2 Die-cut a rectangle from the centre of one of the pieces. Die-cut a frame from patterned paper and add over the aperture piece. Glue a different patterned paper to the back of the other piece.

3 Fix the typewriter, sentiment, and bow in place using foam pads and glue the star above them. Adhere the ends of each piece together so the last 1cm is attached flat to the back piece. Push the ends in a little to help the card to stand.

Merry Christmas

1 Take two panels of 16.5cm x 18.5cm white cardstock and score at 13cm and 15.5cm. Fold as mountain folds. Die-cut a rectangle from the rectangular part of one of the scored pieces.

2 Glue patterned paper onto cardstock, then die-cut a matching sized frame and some 5cm strips. Adhere the patterned strips behind to create a window frame and mount onto the aperture.

3 Fix patterned paper onto the ot
