£7,800 Italian sprint legend gets dirty, with a carbon monocoque gravel bike

Mario Cipollini was the best professional sprinter of his generation, with his speed nearly as legendary as his larger-than-life personality. Post racing, he created the Cipollini bicycle brand with a range of road bikes that reflected his riding style: they were very racy, very stiff and very, very fast. The new Ago, however, steps away from the pure race orientation of the brand’s previous MCM All Road.
01 Comfort creation
The Ago has been designed for riding long distances on uneven surfaces in comfort. It has more progressive geometry, large tyre clearances, and they’ve paid particular attention to the compliance of the seat-tube, while the short 427mm chainstays are designed to balance comfort and responsiveness.
02 One-piece frame
The Ago has a full monocoque carbon frame design, to improve its strength, according to Cipollini. The frame is claimed to weigh 930g, the fork 510g, which is light enough to compete with the best of its rivals.
