Muuvr (pronounced Mover) is a newly launched fitness rewards app that inspires people to get active, stay motivated and be part of a pioneering fitness community where everyone thrives.
Used alongside existing fitness apps, Muuvr rewards users for every ride, stride and stroke with its in-app currency called Muuvs, which can be spent on apparel, equipment and event entries in the Muuvr marketplace.
‘Muuvr is inspired by move-to-earn projects and air miles reward apps,’ says James Vickers, chief marketing and communications officer at Muuvr. ‘Our founders, Michael Hartweg and Claus Hilpold, decided to bring the two together, rewarding people using air miles economics, but for something that had a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others. Muuvr incentivises users to have an active lifestyle.’
Get rewarded for every effort, big or small
Pairing with apps such as Apple Fitness, Wahoo and Garmin Connect, Muuvr calculates how many Muuvs a user has earned using its bespoke sports science that is benchmarked against each user’s unique activity effort. This means everyone’s earning potential is on the same level, regardless of age, gender or ability.
‘We look at how active you have been over the last 90 days. The more active you have been, the higher the activity level and the higher reward you earn every day,’ says Vickers.
‘Because you earn every day, you’ll still earn on a rest day, if you get injured or if you decide to have some time off the bike. And if you complete a particular challenge or a goal, you will often be rewarded with extra Muuvs.’
The Cyclist Challenges Cyclist and Muuvr are partnering to offer three unique challenges on the Muuvr app over the winter months. These will be a great opportunity to experience the app and earn more Muuvs if you complete them. We also have some great prizes from Garmin and a Cyclist subscription to win for each challenge.
