Each of these themes we’ve explored further with our cover stars for this month; a group of trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming creatives, academics and models who give their perspective of the power of Unity! Anarchy! and Legacy! Elsewhere in the issue we explore how transness is viewed in different countries and cultures across the world; we take a look back at moments of trans history in the UK and US; we hear from Jamaican charity TransWave who are changing perceptions in their own country; and we speak to Bailey J Mills – an exciting drag performer – about their own experience as a non- binary person growing up in the UK. This special issue is part of a wider campaign in partnership with our philanthropic initiative Amplifund and creative agency Grey London. LGBT – Incomplete Without The T is a direct response to the increased transphobia in this country and around the world. It’s a statement of solidarity and you’ll see the campaign imagery that will appear across mainstream media inside this very issue too. As Trans Day of Visibility approaches, it is important to reinforce our commitment to the trans community.
