Roxie Nafousi’s debut book was a global phenomenon. Now the manifesting queen wants to teach us how to make our dreams come true

THE PHRASE ‘live your best life’ is all well and good, but most of us don’t know how we’re supposed to put this into action. Lucky, then, that Roxie Nafousi believes her purpose is to help others unleash their potential by teaching them how to manifest the life of their dreams. Her debut book, Manifest: 7 Steps To Living Your Best Life, sold over 200,000 copies in the UK alone – even Bella Hadid was snapped carr ying a copy.

Now, at a time when many of us are thinking about what we want to achieve over the next year, Nafousi is here to help. She says one of the best ways to set your intentions is through a vision board, which is a visual representation of what you want your life to look like, she explains. Sure, there are sceptics, but vision boarding is growing in popularity, and not only among Gen Z (#manifestation has 49.4bn views on TikTok). Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith and Beyoncé have all reportedly used vision boards to achieve success.

‘It gives you this rare chance to view your dream life as a whole,’ Nafousi says. ‘ When we practise regular visualisation, our subconscious primes itself to reach those goals. Your subconscious will start to seek out opportunities that are aligned with those goals and filter out unwanted information,’ she says. ‘Plus, it’s exciting. You’re harnessing that energ y of the new year. There is no other time of the year where you have this blank slate.’

One of the most common myths about vision boarding is that it begins and ends with making a board, Nafousi says, when this is actually only step one of seven. The others include removing fear and turning envy into inspiration. ‘Sceptics say you can’t visualise what you want and expect it to happen – I agree, that’s not what manifestation is,’ she says. ‘Manifesting is a self-development practice. The vision board is only step one.’
