The celebs who are celebrating wearing whatever they like this summer

We’re hoping for aHot Girl Summer, and by that we mean sunshine and fun with family and friends. What we don’t need is the stress and worry that our body isn’t “good enough” to wear abikini, or anything else we fancy chucking on to enjoy the hot weather.

Newsflash: you don’t have to look like the cast of Love Island to rock swimwear –bikinis for everyone this summer. To celebrate, we’re counting down our favourite celebs who are waging war on the body shamers and embracing the fact not all bodies look the same and we can wear whatever we want!

Feeling hot, hot, hot!

DAVINA MCCALL, 56

Whether she’s working out on holiday or even cooking dinner for her family, if there is one thing Davina is going to be wearing, it’s a bikini. When it comes to body confidence, Davina believes that looking good in a bikini isn’t about looking skinny, it’s about feeling hot. And we couldn’t agree more. She says, “I’ve got extra skin, but I don’t care because I feel good. I’ve got cellulite on the back of my legs. I don’t care. I think I look good. That is what I want to share with everybody. I’ll still be wearing a bikini when I’m 90!”

Never overthink it!

GEMMA COLLINS, 43

We could all do with channelling our inner GC when it comes to rocking swimwear this summer. Gemma’s approach to bikini confidence? Don’t overthink it. “Just get your bodies out, girls, and enjoy your holiday! It’s too stressful trying to be pictureperfect, be your own kind of perfect,” she says.

Don’t diet to fit in with a trend

LIBERTYPOOLE, 24

Despite spending 24/7 in a bikini in the Love Island villa, Liberty still has insecurities like the rest of us. She says, “My tummy has always been one of my biggest insecurities – it’s where I gain weight, and I’m bloated at times. But that’s normal.” Liberty says we shouldn’t feel pressure to look a certain way to fit in. “I felt like I had to lose weight to fit in with the low waist trend,” she says. “You know what? I went out in a low waist and didn’t care one bit!”

Worn with pride

LOUISETHOMPSON, 34

Louise is embracing swimwear with new-found confidence after having her stoma fitted, and isn’t letting it hold her back from having some fun in the sun. She says, “Things I won’t wear with my bum bag: nothing! I’m pretty amazed by how incognito my stoma bag is in my costume. ”

Change is great

SELENA GOMEZ, 31

Having grown up on screen, Selena is here to remind us that it’s totally OK for our bodies to change over time. “Today, I realised I will never look like I did at 21 again… I’m not pe
