ON HOW IT’S FRIENDS REUNITED WHEN SHE TEAMS UP WITH ADAM SANDLER
S himmering in silver, Jennifer Aniston made a glamorous arrival at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film last week.
The 54-year-old actress shone in the spotlight on the red carpet outside Hollywood’s Regency Village Theatre for Murder Mystery 2, in which she stars opposite Adam Sandler.
And while the Netflix film could replicate the original’s hit status, success is not something Jennifer takes for granted.
When asked what she thinks of her career, which began with small parts in TV and film before she hit the big time as Rachel Green in TV sitcom Friends, she says: “Just how lucky I have been. I feel very lucky to have had the career I have had and to have worked with so many amazing people. I hope I stay lucky.”
OLD PALS
Jennifer’s latest project sees her playing detective Audrey with long-term friend Adam as her husband Nick; they starred together in 2019’s Murder Mystery and Just Go With It in 2011.
“We’ve been friends now for more than 30 years,” Jennifer says. “We met at Jerry’s Deli on Ventura Boulevard [in LA] when we were 20 and 22 years old and we’ve been friends ever since.
“This is the third movie we have got to do together and Adam is always a joy to work with, as well as being one of my absolute favourite people in the world,” she adds.
“We make each other laugh. We have the same weird sense of humour. That’s always a good thing. I’m so happy we get to work together and that we got to do it all again on this movie.”
However, Jennifer does say their close rapport can have a downside for others on set. “We do go off-script a lot,” she says. “I’m sure it was challenging for everyone else, but
