REVEALS WHAT INSPIRED THEIR SURPRISE WEDDING

Overcome with emotion at the opening night of her new musical, Joss Stone had plenty of reasons to feel joyful. Just hours before the premiere of The Time Traveller’s Wife at London’s Apollo Theatre, the Devon-born singer made the surprise announcement that she had recently got married.

Joss, 36, revealed in a TV interview that she had secretly tied the knot with Cody DaLuz – with whom she shares daughter Violet, two, and son Shackleton, one – in Nashville, where they live.

Joss’s new husband was by her side as she celebrated the launch of the musical, which she co-wrote with Eurythmics star Dave Stewart. Wearing a floral maxi dress, paired with her new wedding ring and diamond engagement band, Joss laughed and waved at the audience as she took to the stage at the end of the performance.

She shared a congratulatory hug with close friend Dave, who wore his trademark trilby for the occasion. They wrote the music and lyrics for the production, which is based on the best-selling 2003 novel by Audrey Niffenegger about a woman left to cope by herself as her husband travels through time, turned into a 2009 film starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams.

Joss had revealed the exciting news of her surprise nuptials to Channel 5 News on the day of the premiere, explaining that picking up a bouquet during a rehearsal for the show inspired her.
