REVIVE OUR OCEANS: WILDAID

WildAid is a global non-profit organisation that supports the effective enforcement of Marine Protected Areas to end illegal fishing and boost conservation. It ensures people have the tools, technology and resources needed to deter illegal fishing, allow wildlife to recover and to improve coastal community livelihoods. The US-based programme already covers an estimated 633,000 square miles of ocean, with operations in Palau, Zanzibar and Mexico among others.

BUILD A WASTE-FREE WORLD: S4S TECHNOLOGIES

S4S Technologies combats food waste, rural poverty and gender inequality by helping smallholder female farmers in India to preserve and market surplus produce. It provides communities with cheaper s o l a rpowered conduction dryers and equipment to turn crops that would otherwise go to waste into food products such as ketchup. S4S also creates a market to connect commercial buyers to the products, returning most of the profits to the women farmers.

CLEAN OUR AIR: G.R.S.T.

Hong Kong-based GRST, which stands for Green, Renewable, Sustainable Technology, has come up with a cleaner process to make and recycle lithium-ion batteries. The method not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions from production by 40%, but also produces a battery that lasts up to 10% longer than average, helping to drive the electric vehicle revolution and improve air quality.
