THE KING

The King has been given the first seedling grown from seeds collected from the felled Sycamore Gap tree. Once it has matured into a sapling, His Majesty intends to plant it in Windsor Great Park.

The seeds – taken from the 50ft-tall sycamore that stood in the ruins of Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland National Park before being cut down last September – were collected to mark Celebration Day, which encourages us to remember those who have shaped us but are no longer here.

Planting the sapling at Windsor will be poignant, given the King’s parents the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh spent much of their final years there.

In a post on social media, Buckingham Palace said: “Part of the power of trees to move and console us lies in the continuity and hope they represent.”

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN

Reality TV personality Kourtney Kardashian underwent five unsuccessful rounds of IVF before she and husband Travis Barker naturally conceived son Rocky Thirteen, now seven months old, she revealed last week.

“I stopped after a year of trying,” she wrote on social media. “My body relaxed and I believed in God’s plan for my life. I know how hard it is to feel like you’re not trying, but believing in God’s plan and saying your prayers is so powerful.”

Kourtney, 45, and Travis, 48, married in 2022 and have children from previous relationships; she had Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, nine, with Scott Disick, while Travis is father to Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, and stepdad to actress Atiana De La Hoya, 25, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

CELINE DION

Celine Dion is planning to perform a final concert for a TV special, despite ongoing struggles with her health.

The Canadian singer, 56, was forced to cancel a world tour after being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in 2022, but has reportedly been working with vocal coaches and specialists for over six months in a bid to release a concert film of her biggest hits.

The My Heart Will Go On star will give fans an insight into her experience of living with the rare autoimmune neurological disorder in a documentary film titled I Am: Celine Dion, due for release on Prime Video on 25 June.

“I’m well, but it’s a lot of work,” she has said. “I’m taking it one day at a time. I haven’t beaten the disease, as it’s still within me and always will be.”

CHRIS MARTIN

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin gave a lift in his car to a fan who was “struggling to walk” before his band played their headline gig at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton last week.

The singer’s generous gesture came when he drove past Saundra Glenn, 64, who later wrote on social media that Chris picked her up in his Mercedes after noticing her mobility issues.

“Can’t believe this happened. What a decent bloke. We had a
