Beaming with happiness and crying tears of joy, singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan links arms with her close friend Simon Cowell as he proudly walks her up the aisle at her wedding.

The music mogul gave Lucy away as she married girlfriend Emilia Smith in an emotional ceremony attended by their families and celebrity friends.

Their big day, shared exclusively with HELLO!, included ice baths, tarot readings and tattoos, as well as music and plenty of tears.

“It was perfect,” says the former The X Factor contestant, who wore a bespoke white threepiece suit from King & Allen to walk up the aisle to her own song, Other Sides of the Moon,, which was released on her wedding day and is dedicated to her bride.

“Simon and I were standing outside the door and my song started playing. I was already crying and Simon definitely had a tear in his eye.

“I was linking arms with him, but then I realised I was holding on to his arm. He kept saying: ‘You’re okay, you’re all right.’ Then, when Emilia walked in with her dad, I just sobbed.”

Simon wasn’t the only special male to accompany Lucy up the aisle: her 11-year-old Boston terrier Steve, looking dapper in a black bow tie, trotted faithfully alongside her.

“It was really important to both of us that Steve was there,” says Lucy, 32.

WHITE WEDDING

Wedding photographer Emilia, 34, who wore a stunning strapless white gown with detachable sleeves and a long veil from Australian label Chosen by Kyha, was accompanied by her father Alan and her friend Zoe as maid of honour.

Lucy’s maid of honour was her sister Ella, and the bridesmaids, flower girls and pageboys included Emilia’s sister Claire and nieces and nephews from both sides.

“When I saw Lucy, it was everything I ever imagined and more,” says Emilia. “When I got to the top of the aisle, Simon was looking at us both and he looked so proud, and so did my dad.

“Dad has been having chemotherapy for cancer, but somehow he made it through the day to be the last man standing.”
